Crushing and Screening Facilities Feeders
Feeders
Vibratıng Grizzly Feeder
Vibrating Grizzly Feeders are the main type of feeder most commonly used in crushing and screening plants. They take on the task of feeding the jaw or impact crushers used in the primary stage. It can be used for materials of all sizes, from large-sized materials to small-sized stream materials. Thanks to the adjustable grid distance, the product size that is not wanted to be included in the primary stage can be changed. It has a very solid chassis. The feeder body is placed on it with helical springs of sufficient number and strength. On top of this feeder body, there is a large volume bunker in a structure that offers high strength. It can be used in all mobile and fixed primary units.
Vibration System
Vibration is mechanical oscillation around an equilibrium point. In vibrating feeders, this mechanical oscillating movement is created by two vibromotors with the same feature. Each oscillating motion adds movement to the material being fed and makes it move some distance on the feeder. This amount of advance is called the amplitude of the feeder.
Bypass System
The purpose of the grid system on the feeder body is to “bypass”. Bypass can be expressed as "bridging" as a word meaning. Therefore, we can explain the concept of bypass for the crushing and screening plant as "materials that do not need to enter the crusher bypass this stage and are delivered to the other stages of the system".
The material is brought to the facility by drilling, blasting and/or direct backhoe loaders from the quarries. Therefore, this material also contains clay material that is too small to require size reduction in the primary stage or is undesirable as a product. Incorporating this material into the process by bypassing it instead of feeding it to the crusher will enable to use the crusher with higher efficiency. This is the main reason why vibrating grizzly feeders are preferred especially in the primary stage. Moreover, since the distances between the grids are easily adjustable, the size of the product to be bypassed can be changed.
Tunnel Feeder
Tunnel Feeders are the main feeder type most used in crushing and screening plants. They take on the task of feeding the jaw or impact crushers used in the primary stage. The feeders can be used for any size material, from large size materials to small size stream materials.
Belt Feeder
Vibrating Feeders are positioned at the exit of the silo or bunker where the material is stocked, in order to ensure the continuous feeding of the machines in all stages after the primary crushing stage in the crushing and screening processes.
In order for the belt rollers to move in harmony, the peripheral speed of the rollers is adjusted equal to the speed of the belt. Rollers are made of steel pipe. Ball bearings are used to reduce friction. Drive drum, tension drum, flat carrier rollers, side rollers and return rollers are used in the belt of the belt feeder.
It consists of driving drum, return drum, upper and lower roller, guide roller, tensioning system, engine and steel construction.
Wobbler feeder
The elliptical disc shafts rotate synchronously with each other, and fine materials, sludge particles and waste materials that are not supposed to enter the main crusher are taken out through the opening specified in the design without entering the main crusher.
The wobbler feeder is an indispensable product of the crushing and sieving process when the material is high humidity and sticky. The main element of the wobbler feeder are the monolithic reels, which are made of cast steel and contain triangularly arranged discs. A square shaft runs through it and is connected to the reduction motor via a coupling. Thanks to the square wave shape that absorbs the movement from the motor, it transmits this movement to the roller. The cascaded rollers move synchronously with each other. Thanks to this movement, thanks to the compression and friction force created between the advancing material and the disc parts of the rollers, the wet and sticky mud particles, fine and/or waste particles are separated from the material and transported into the lower groove of the wobbler. Therefore, it is removed from the process before it reaches the main crusher.
Because it is the primary level, the body structure has a durable body structure that can withstand large and heavy materials. It offers easy operation as a separate motor is connected to each roller. It is easy to install and maintain because there are no complex parts and assembly structures.
Apron feeder
Plate conveyors are used to convey sticky, abrasive, dirty and wet materials. It is the most suitable feeding type, especially for very moist products. The feeding takes place via steel plates attached to the chain.
Plate conveyors work horizontally or inclined. Generally, apron conveyors are machines that function like a conveyor belt by cascading wear-resistant pallets attached to the chain with bolts. These chains, to which the pallets are attached, are moved by sprockets on two heads. The high gradient also enables the construction of compact systems and the reduction of the conveyor length, which keeps investment costs low. Apron conveyors are a reliable solution for efficiently feeding wet, sticky, dry and abrasive ores to materials of different sizes and densities.
